Mandira Chakraborty

Mrs. Mandira Chakraborty is a Vice President of Badlav. She is a former teacher in St Fidelis College, Lucknow, where she taught Mathematics and Physics. An ardent social worker, Mrs. Chakraborty participated in the Times of India initiative for teaching underprivileged children in 2009, post retirement. She is also associated with Asha Parivar, an NGO, working towards the betterment of slum dwellers. She, along with two other friends, started teaching the children sitting on the divider of a road. Then gradually she tried and got them admitted to different schools and continued looking after their daily educational needs.
